A bit about Sue
Welcome to my website. I am so happy to be here after a varied life of rich experiences, I am now ready to take this path. Putting together a business which will be full of the things I love to do and I am passionate about and using all the skills I have learnt along the way I am very much looking forward to helping you through whichever service you may choose.
There is still more to come that I will be quietly working on in the background and look forward to showcasing at some point.
I am Scottish Nursery Nurse Certified [SSNEB] and as well as this I have been an Early Years Officer in school nurseries, a Professional Nanny in many different countries, a childminder in my own home, a children’s party planner and have also ran a community creche. I successfully set up a brand new school nursery by myself and have had the joy of helping many families in my nursery career and have an excellent reputation in the community winning a local award, alongside the fantastic team I worked with for dedication and hard work getting a nursery that had sustained terrible fire damage back up and running.
I have worked as a Professional Live In Nanny in a number of different locations New York, London, Hong Kong, Bahrain Edinburgh and Tayvallich on the West Coast of Scotland. The families I have worked for have ranged from down to earth to VIP and come from many walks of life, accordingly I have had to be very flexible and adjust to each situation differently. I have travelled extensively with them and helped many move home. On an everyday basis this job is highly demanding, long hours and includes lots of preparation, organisation and people skills.
One of my favourite parts of this work is helping instil in young children useful life skills, how to be creatively organised while having fun, allowing them to be creative, fun loving responsible, independent confident individuals now and in the future as adults. My duties have extended to designing and creating children’s nurseries, bedrooms, bathrooms, playrooms, as well as study’s utility areas, cloakrooms and garden play areas. This normally required me to work alongside interior designers, home organisers, builders, handymen, gardeners, cleaners and housekeepers.
All the children who have been in my care over the years have been wonderful and I am so grateful to have had them all in my life.
I have had the joy of raising my own four wonderful children, during which time I ran a very happy organised home. I am so proud of all their kindness, creativity and strong characters and that they have stayed true to themselves and now so lucky to be Nana to two gorgeous grandchildren who are equally strong characters.
In the last 5 years I have had a very successful housesitting hobby in my spare time both in the uk and overseas. I achieved over 25 five star reviews. I immensely enjoy looking after other peoples pets and homes while they were absent sometimes for a month long period. I have received excellent references with owners commenting their pets had been extremely well cared for and they had returned to very clean homes and received a service that exceeded their expectations. I am often asked back to resit and have become very good friends with many owners.
